After three years of touting the the superiority of its harsh zero Covid policy, China has abandoned that rhetoric after the policy failed miserably. Now China's opening up, seemingly without any guardrails in place to protect the public from a massive spike in infections. But instead of course correcting and trying to make the transition smoother, China has resorted to a massive coverup.
