Mt. Hua is one of China’s ‘five great mountains’ and known for it’s uniquely dangerous hiking trails. Hikers from across the world brave the climb to reach the once-temple-now-teahouse standing on top of its south peak.
Chinese authorities have never actually published any death figures from the mountain and as far as they’re concerned, everything’s fine. You should be far more worried about charming foreign spies or dangerous, subversive meditation practices.
