China’s Terrifying “Facekinis”

According to the South China Morning Post, “many modern Chinese woman aspire to be: Bai-fu-mei (白富美). This portmanteau of three Chinese characters—‘white’, ‘rich’, and ‘beautiful’—puts white first.”

Something like this.

In order to achieve the look of pure porcelain, some Chinese women will go to extreme lengths.

Others simply avoid the sun.
