Acupuncture for Pets?!

The Chinese have been practicing acupuncture for thousands of years, and it’s been getting more popular in the West too!

So if it’s good enough for people, why not pets as well?

A Traditional Chinese medical doctor in Shanghai, Jin Rishan, is charging $39 dollars an hour to treat people’s pets.

He’ll even run an electric current through the needles. In addition to acupuncture, he also does moxibustion.

It’s believed that the needles can help stimulate qi and improve circulation.

Jin focuses on pets with spinal injuries that prevent them from walking. He hopes people will choose to try acupuncture to heal their pets, rather than putting them to sleep. And he claims to have had success, too!
